Hiya, I ordered my MX518 almost 7 months ago (6 months 23 days according to order history) and I'm noticing lately that my scroll wheel may be going on it.

It looks like the click on the scroll wheel isn't syncing up with the actual scroll on the computer. So if I scroll down 5 clicks it will scroll down 6 clicks worth then roll back to the 5th.

So now every time I'm scrolling through a web page it goes down 6 and up 1, very annoying. Even worse is in games like BF2/CS:S where I try to switch over to x gun and it rolls me back to y nade.

I checked the Logitech site and it says the mouse has a "3" warranty. Is that 3 months or 3 years? I'd guess it's the former but that isn't a long satisfaction guarantee

Well, that's about it I guess. Anyone having the same issue?

Mason

You've got dust inside the mouse. Got to open it up and clean. Under the stickers are the screws.

I had a stuck side-scroll on mine,it started locking up in full side deflection at random times just because I spilled beeer on it.The rt. and lft. main buttens eventually cleared up but I had to go into Set Point and disable the side scroll.Maby adjust the scroll rate before you operate and see if that helps?

I believe that the warranty is 3 years, and will be voided if you open up the mouse. Give Logitech's tech support a call and they will most likely RMA it. I have had no trouble with them in the past standing behind their products.

yeah I've heard logitech does well with customer service, so I'd try to go that route before opening the thing up.
