Do these drives have the head parking issue my EARS drives had? If so .. does WDidle work on these?

Not sure if it still has issues but it still parks every 8 seconds. If you use this drive strictly as storage then it probably won't be an issue. However, if you have an OS on this drive (which you shouldn't anyways because of it's lack of speed) then you may want to look into using wdidle3 to increase it to say 60 or 120 seconds.

I'm waiting for mine to come in. I'll monitor how many LCCs get racked up and go from there.
