Subject: H100 fit with Push Pull?

I currently have a CM 692 Advanced, and I can not get a push pull configuration due to the fans touching the motherboard. It gets worse, I can only use a Pull config, because the H100 touches part of the plastic bracing to the grill near the front, and thus you can not put the top back on. Basically I am freakin mad at CM because they made it for 2x dual 120mm radiators, but didn't measure (the H100 is small compared to most so no excuses). Useless!
Anyways could rage about that...I notice that the gap from the motherboard to the top fan is large enough that in theory it should fit, but I do not want to order it and find out something lame like the 3MM of plastic prevents mounting.

No, you can't do a push pull config with the 650D and the H100. It at least is not possible for me with the P8P67 because it would block the 8pin EPS connector. You should be able to do it if you mount one set of the fans on the outside of the case, but otherwise, won't be possible for most motherboards.

Thanks for the info. It looks like any case I use without going to a full size tower is going to have an issue with the EPS, the RAM, or part of the Northbridge heatpipe. I also discovered from a client that this case has SEVERE northbridge cooling issues when used with a liquid system. He reported 3 of his systems with this case had his Sabertooth X58 NB sitting at 75C until he hung a fan with zap ties over the motherboard and brought them to 48C just on low. So this case clearly has cooling issues with the closed side panel...perhaps cut in a fan on the plexi or get on Corsair for making the ultimate heat box. Those 200mm fan adverts is quite deceiving! Clearly bigger does not mean better.

The guy that reported it, I wouldn't take anything he said. He must not have proper airflow going, or did something completely wrong.
Granted the 650D is not the best, but will do fine. I rarely hear anything about bad airflow from this case.

I can confirm a Push/Pull fit in this case with a Asus P5K.

Push pull with the h100 in this case can be done. I have this case sitting on my office desk right now. I measure 73mm distance from the mounting to the top of my motherboard. If you have a low profile HS on your northbridge and low profile ram, there is about 40mm clearance hanging down from the mounting holes to the rear of the case.

So, if you dont want any overlap on your motherboard you have 73mm. The h100 is 27mm thick. That will leave 45mm for 2 fans. Most fans will be 25mm. There are slim fans you can get. But what I would do is measure to see if your motherboard (if you already own it) can have 5mm of overhang keeping in mind the 40mm clearance needed. If your motherboard can handle the 5mm overhang just shop for fans as usual. If you cant have any overhang then shop for slim branded fans. Most will be designed for htpcs.

just gonna throw my 2 cents in, the sabertooth x58 always had north bridge cooling issues, just google it its super common.

i used 2 of the fans from the corsair dominator memory fan to cool mine.

intel says it can go to about 100c before there is an issue.

Uh what? You can do push in the CM 692 case. Here is mine with my H100 in push.

Nice system, although those Noctua fans ruin any semblance of a color scheme in your case.

Oh man, thread necro lol. I don't even have that system anymore. Upgraded to X79. For the record, I agree on the Noctua's fans, so for my newer build I used gelid's to do a black and white theme.
