Hey guys! It's a pleasure to announce the very first NCIX gaming community contest!

NCIX gaming community is hosting a contest with total value of $500! We're looking for creative NCIX-er to be part of NCIX history by helping us create  Official NCIX logo for our gaming community! It'd be used for years to come. There will be a total of 3 prizes.

First prize - $300 NCIX Gift card
Second prize - $150 NCIX gift card
Third prize - $50 NCIX gift card

Yes, you got it - total value of $500, so even if you don't become part of NCIX Gaming history, you can still win.
Contest will run from January 1st to midnight January 31ST. Winners will be announced soon.

We're doing this because of the milestone we achieved because of NCIX-ers like you. Instead of hiring a professional designer, we thought of giving something back to community. Because of you, we've become:

Achieved #1 rank for one of our BF3 server in Canada.
Achieved #1 rank for being top BF3 provider in Canada.
Handling over 30,000 gamers every month with capacity of some 400 players just for BF3 at any given time (to be increased)
We also rank 20th worldwide for BF3 out of some 13000 servers. Soon we will be #1!
We also have 16 admins and counting (Remember, we're looking for more!) to ensure our server runs smooth and without hackers.

When NCIX Bf3 servers started out, we were at about 200 players, but now have double to 400! because of high demand.

Rules are simple:

Absoulotely no copyright materials. Make your own work!
The winner who's work will become NCIX Gaming Community official logo will also become property of NCIX. You can not just edit it and give it someone.
Email must be with source file of whatever software you use to create  it.
This contest is limited to only Canada and US with exception of Quebec (I still love you guys!) and Rhode Island.
Only one entry. Contest runs for entire month so don't just rush in. Be satisfied with your work. You will get only one chance to resubmit your entry and your old one will NOT be counted (thanks 1oath).
Also no sending us a file with bunch of logos. Its only one entry, so give it your best shot.

No it doesn't.

I am very excited to see who wins! Are there any rules with the NCIX logo color or the text wanted on it? I also want to know what happens if we are planning to use multiple programs to make it happen.

I'm assuming you can use stuff that could be property of ncix like the yellow NCI and blue X logo?

1. Can we use fonts and vectors that are free to use for commercial purposes?
2. Do you expect logos that contain text?

I would also like a little bit of elaboration on what is expected of this 'logo.'

Is this meant to be more of an icon? Or do you wish to use it for many things like banners, mastheads, etc...

What if we were to submit a bunch of content based on the same design? Like a logo without text, a logo with text, a banners, etc?

If yes to the above, can we submit in a .zip or .rar so that we can send a "package?"

Christian: It doesn't has to have any relation to current NCIX logo. This logo is for our website, now we're looking for logo that represents NCIX Gaming con. You can use any color, as long as its appropriate, IE, NO PINK!

The logo MUST contain the letters: NGC.

Logo is meant not to have bunch of text, IMO. Try to put soldiers in or something. Again, this is representing gaming, so make it more game orientated.

MUST contain NGC. If we want to put NCIX.com underneath, we may ask you.

Basically you're creating an emblem, such as: http://tinyurl.com/6psxmmh. Its not meant to be an icon etc as it'd be on our facebook page.

Wait it must contain NGC?? I already worked on a logo for NCIX because I imaged it would replace the current one on the top left. So it must be NGC? Thought this website was called NCIX....

It'll go on Facebook, so you can do anything pretty much. If we want it different way, we may ask you. And yes it should have NGC for ncix gaming community

Hey, I have a question. Do you guys want certain words. Example, "gaming", "NCIX", "Gaming Forum", etc.

You're welcome to put any words, but we're looking for NGC - its a must.
Be creative guys! If we love your work, we may ask you to adjust some stuff to make it stand out even better.

Going to enter if I can, I'm not living in canada/USA, so I think I won't be eligible for the prizes but can I still contribute in making a logo for you guys? :D

Are you sure you want NGC and not NGCX? I'm pretty sure NCI got turned down in favor of NCIX!

We all know the X stands for XTREME so why can't the gaming community get a piece of that action.



Also did anyone catch there contest announcement on YouTube! I have a feeling that Linus broke a deal with Crazy Russian that if Linus posted his wedding video on YouTube then Crazy Russion would also have to make an appearance.

Also, Neo Geo Color is all I see when I think of NGC. Nintendo also had this issue.

what are dimensions that the logo has to be.

Can we please do the NCIX logo instead of NGA. Honestly, NGA should be the subtitle as it can be misleading to the actual website name. I know if i went to ncix i would want to be reassured by the logo that I am on that site.

Would I be disqualified if I submit a NCIX logo?

It does raises my eyebrow. Not many are aware of NGC. I'd say you may use it and won't be qualified, but if it needs to be changed to NGC, we'll contact you.
