A couple of you guys have been wondering when we'll be releasing the fan controllers, ever since we've shown them to you guys at Computex last year. Well, the wait is over.

First up, Hydra Pro.
Some of you might have remembered our Original Hydra. It's PCI form wasn't very accessible, but it could control up to 9 LED lights, with a nob.
Since then, we've reworked it into a 5 channel fan (30 watts each) controller. Strategically placed on your optical bay drives, you now have easy access to those lights when you're about to go sleep.

Next, our recon. A 5 channel fan touch screen fan controller with internet connectivity! Use your smart phone, tablet, or laptop to easily control your fans on the go with presents. Everything on that screen, is touchable!

Recon: SKU 71195
Hydra Pro: 71194
They currently show as unavailable on NCIX's site, but it will be up shortly!

I do like both. Recon mostly as I do love the profile settings.
I can do the settings I like.
Full speed CPU + Low speed case
Low speed for all
Full speed for all

You know what would be really neat? If you added the ability to mount 2 2.5 drives behind it. That way you would not "waste" a drive bay for just a device.

Not saying that this product is a waste....just saying saying that I think you can make it more productive to the consumer.

Cant find on this website or the Bitfenix website specs on the Recon...it shows specs for the Hydra Pro (30w per channel) but no such information seems readily available for the Recon.

I like the Recon but if it isnt 18w or greater per channel I cannot use.

Any info Bourne? thanks!

AT Stiles: http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/accessories/recon#specs
yup. It's right there.

Sorry for the late replies guys. I'm actually in Taiwan at the moment,(arrived 2 days ago, jet lag almost gone) and actually working at the office like the rest of the guys. My usual online time in Canada is my sleeping time here. 7:40am as I speak.

Initially, that was the plan for the Recon. It did look really great on paper. But when the bill came, it wasn't in the ball park where people were willing to buy.

In regards to the space usage on fan controllers, I definitely had already spoke with the team - The moment I saw recon/pro in person. A little late for changes, but definitely considerable for later products.

Definitely neato for the price! May pick this guy up in the near future. The only thing that I don't like is the SoftTouch plastic... I just have had bad luck with that stuff :(

Can the recon control the spectre LED lights as well?

Recon can't control Spectre(Pro) lights. Only if you turn the fan down, the LED will dim, but that's about it.

Just wondering how many fans this will run per channel? I have 4 120mm Spectre Pro's and 6 140mm Spectre Pro's. I would like to run the 120's on the same channel and split the 140's between two channels if possible.
