I currently own a XFX 6950 XXX edition for a low budget build

I am looking into getting another video card to crossfire and I heard the 7950 works with the 6950 and I was looking at this card.

could anyone tell me if this will or will not work?
and if I could use two different video cards what the other one would be?

This is my first gaming build so anyone help is useful!

The HD 6950 doesn't work with the HD 7950 because they are a different series of graphics card. To crossfire you have to have a graphics card in the same tier (6900's).If you used two video cards they would have to be 6900 series cards (HD 6970, HD 6950).

I say just buy a used 6950 and test it out for yourself,I saw some a while ago used $140-130 could be worth less by now since 560ti took a retail dump.

I run 6870s xfire 1080p and I'm fairly satisfied with them.
