JERKY SCROLLING?...

Jerky Scrolling?

Did you folks change the way your product pages are generated when they're longer than a single page on a desktop system?

What I'm seeing is that there's a discernible pause when I scroll down a certain distance, and that it seems to be a fixed distance which replicates itself multiple times on longer pages. What it feels like is that the page is only being created in little chunks and that unseen content isn't grabbed until after I've scrolled down to the bottom of what's currently being displayed.

This is a less than enjoyable experience, and one that might have the unintended effect of making me reconsider my default go-to PC retail website when I'm researching hardware.

I understand the desire to merge mobile and desktop website designs, but please don't go the route of abandoning your desktop users in the process.

Yeah, I was just scrolling through cases priced from low to high and it would go like 5 products down than pause, I just figured it was my PC acting up.

Welp, I just changed my adblock settings to block more things and that top banner doens't pop up anymore and the scrolling is back to smooth.

Edit : Yes, it's the top banner ad causing it, I checked 'antisocial filter list' and the ad goes away and back to smooth scrolling, uncheck, shows up, back to jerky scrolling.

I'm assuming that's the full version of adblock? I'm not seeing those options and while the filter I put in place for the previous top bar ad issues blocks it from appearing, it doesn't affect the scrolling issue(s).

This ad essentially breaks the website for viewing in chrome.

edit: Ok... I added the "Fanboy's Social Blocking list" and it seems to have resolved the issue. Must be a glitch of some kind with the "like us" crap.

It's just adblock , not adblock plus.

It might not be that advert but maybe some social media button code running I can only assume. But for me that fixes the issue.

Seems to be a Chrome thing. Doesn't happen in Edge.
