Thanks I thought so.........but do you think I need 16 gig? I already have 8 gig installed. I have windows 7 ultimate. Also will a pair I got a year ago be compatable with a pair I buy now...Thanks.

I use 8GB on my ASUS P8P67 Deluxe and it is more than enough for my uses. It depends on what you do with your computer. I am using the exact same g skill kit by the way (2x4GB). It is rare for me to exceed 5GB of usage. Other users would use a lot more than 5GB. What are your primary computer uses?

As for adding more down the road and hoping it will run in dual channel...it probably will but nothing is guaranteed. Try and get the same brand with same latencies and speed. This gskill SKU will probably be around for some time to come.

Best to get what you want/need now imo. RAM is at a pretty good price these days.

I sometimes reach 6GB usage when playing BF3 maxed out 1920x1080.
And all i got is 2 anti virus programs running in the back idling. With Steam and Origin, that's basically it.
AVG Internet Security 2013 and Kaspersky AV pro '11.

Well I mean right now I'm only using 3.06GB ram with AVG and Kaspersky disabled.
AVG and Kaspersky enabled (Idle) is 3.39GB
