As of posting this message there are already 5 brands of GTX 680 that are either in stock now or will be in stock before the end of the week!

NVIDIA has delivered enough inventory on launch day for those of you who move fast on this exciting new graphics card :)

As of the time of writing this, the Galaxy card is the one with the most stock.

EDIT at 8:30AM PST March 22:

Update: Things have gone from "looking pretty good" to "looking pretty rough" on the inventory side. Demand is already.... very high...

I think there are still a couple of Zotacs and a few Galaxys left, but if you're ordering MSI or EVGA right now, be prepared to sit in the queue.

PNY is also a good bet. It's out of stock right now, but more coming by early next week or even Friday potentially.

Click the links. They are all around $499, but due to an issue with my VPN I can't change the regular price right now.

Going to wait for reviews to come up before I consider buying. I game at 2560x1600 and early leaks are showing that the GTX 680 is a pretty crappy performance increase over the GTX 580, of which I have 3 right now.

Nvidia is taking us to the cleaners on this one, looks and smells like an overclocked mid-range card being sold for $500. New flagship on 28nm should be at least 50% faster than the 580, not just 30%.

Will still give it a chance and check out some reviws, but the 680 is shaping up and looking to be the first crappy flagship nvidia has released in a long time. This card should be at a minimum a 50% performance increase over a GTX 580 at 2560x1600, not 20% like this card may very well be!!

GTX 480 , 480 shaders
GTX 580 , 512 shaders
GTX 680 , 1536 shaders
Rumored in GTX 685 , 2000+ shaders, perhaps a wider buswidth. Could get a GTX 7xx moniker though.

I think you made a good choice!!! 7970 is going to have to drop  hard to compete. Still above the cost of this card. Even some 7950's are at $500. It's going to be great for all GPU buyers at that price point, especially people looking to Xfire with another 7xxx card or GTX 580/570. Soon enough they will disable some clusters to fill in some more price points. Something like a GTX 670 with 1280 shaders. GTX 660 Ti with 1024 shaders.

Not trying to sound like a marketing genius but you really should get rid of the NCIX Product ShowCase display/links in your first post with those $600 prices displayed instead of the $499.99 price.
Just put regular links in there with the $499.99 price until it is fixed.

just sayin'

I just about pulled the trigger but if there is something wrong with the card I won't know till about 35 days from now when I build my Ivy bridge machine cause all I have right now is my sandy bridge laptop cause my desktop died. And I don't want to have to send it to the manufacturer instead of just rmaing to NCIX.  :(

Update: I broke down and ordered one anyways. Hopefully I made the right decision

someone loan me about $349.99 plus tax for say 7 months ?

As for the review I first went to the one from Tweaktown stinks. What a selection of games to review with this card. LOL

Excellent, finally ordered a new video card.

Those prices scared the *****out of me for a second, thankfully I blamed it on not being completely awake I had to go check for myself. NCIX is in desperate need of a site overall, it's really showing it's age.

Zero reason to buy a 7970, especially at the price delta going. nV surprised me, big time.

The rest of the sites can be ignored, those two are the only ones that gamers should care about.

Agreed about the price delta, but I think it would be foolish to assume that AMD won't lower prices to counter.

Disagree. Anandtech is also an excellent source, and happens to benchmark more titles in a wider variety than either of your two sites (not that it'd be hard to beat HardOCP's laughable 5-title collection), with way more other models to compare with. Their review is also far more comprehensive, for those who are interested in more than just raw benchmarks.

Overall, I don't think there's anything to get super-excited about. The GTX680 beats the Radeon 7970 by about 15% on average, and appears to have 10% overclocking headroom (based on two initial results). Given that the Radeon 7970 is capable of up to 25% performance increases via overclocking, it appears that these two cards are basically performance-identical, with the GTX680 simply shipping closer to its limit than the 7970.

That, combined with the $500 MSRP, means we probably won't see the $100+ price drops on the 7970 that I'd been hoping for. It's still a solid (if not record-breaking) new generation, but I was still hoping for better.

Think I'll wait on the 4GB versions before I pull the trigger, 3 monitors tend to take a big bite out of the 2gb

Depends... We have more MSI inbound today to ON, but it looks like the BC ones are all spoken for. If you call into customer care or send a ticket that just says "switch me to the one I can get", they can get that taken care of for you in a jiffy.

PS: Linus can you look my order. It seems like everything is processed already and i got one. CC has been charged...
